We are absolutely delighted to be able to offer our new range of Information Technology Qualifications.  The ITQ provides an up-to-date, nationally recognised IT user qualification tailored to business and individual needs.  The iTQ can improve productivity, effectiveness and business’s ability to work competitively in the digital economy.

How the iTQ can help you

If you are an individual wanting to improve your iT skills the iTQ can:

• help you to find  work – 92% of jobs advertised require IT user skills
• be tailored to different work requirements – as well as the use of computers and mobile IT devices, the ITQ can cover other ICT systems, including those used in engineering, manufacturing and teaching
• give you the chance to put your newly learnt skills into practice in the workplace
  
• be used to help in every aspect of life whether work, voluntary work or using iT to communicate with family and friends.

iTQ Units

The iT Qualification is made up of those units that you can see in the table below.  Those units are then grouped together to form a full qualification at which ever level you require.

The iTQ is also offered at several levels

Page six shows a table of the number of credits needed to achieve the iTQ qualification at different levels. Page 35 shows the unit credits at each level and also offers links to the standards which are the specific work requirements of each unit at each level.

Costs for the iTQ vary for the different levels of delivery in accordance with the amount of assessment that has to take place.

Assessment is conducted via email and discussion which can be conducted either by webcam or by telephone.  Using specialist software at Home Study we are able to record those discussions which proves authenticity of the work that you have submitted.

Other forms of assessment that can be used are online chat services either through face book or a service provider or a Witness Testimony from an employer which must be on headed paper and signed by a member of the supervisory/management team.

iTQ Resources

All resources for the iTQ units relating to the Microsoft Office suite of applications will be supplied online as interractive web based training materials. Materials relating to other applications such as Audio Equipment, Computerised Design software or Bespoke software must be obtained by the learner from other sources.

All of our assessors and verifiers are qualified to Level 3 iTQ and have extensive experience based on decades of delivering Information Technology courses through out the Midlands in the UK.
