Weight and Nutrition Management

Good nutrition is essential for a happy and healthy life. In this module you will understand which foods to combine to maximise their nutritional value. You will find out what foods you can eat for maximum weight loss and prepare your own weight loss programme. You will understand more about how to affect weight loss while maintaining maximum nutritional standards. The work involved in this unit is one 500 word description on the elements of good nutrition; a short questionnaire; a three week weight loss plan; a discussion with your assessor that will take place using Skype which is free to download from the internet.

Understanding Nutrition and Weight Management is a level 2 optional unit awarded by NOCN, which broadly equates to GCSE or NVQ Level 2 standards. It carries with it a credit rating of 6 for the unit and can contribute towards a total of 24 credits which is the required number of credits to achieve a Level 2 Award in Progression. This is unit can be assessed or non assessed.
